MT/UT training and examination for NDT personnel held by Nondestructive Testing Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society in Ningbo was successfully completed

From August 10 to 16, 2020, the qualification training and examination for Level 2 NDT personnel held by the Nondestructive Testing Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society and Shanghai Institute of Materials Research was successfully completed in Ningbo Kunyuan Fastener Co., Ltd. on August 16, 2020. The training was undertaken by the Nondestructive Testing Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Nantong Ononda Nondestructive Testing Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Institute of Materials, and co organized by Ningbo Kunyuan Fastener Co., Ltd.
The training course for Level 2 NDT personnel will officially start on August 10, 2020, lasting for 7 days. The training teachers are composed of He Chunwei, a NDT expert from Shanghai Institute of Materials Research, Zhuang Zhiqiang, a senior training lecturer from the NDT Society of China Mechanical Engineering Society, and Wang Jizhong, a senior engineer from Nantong Ononda NDT Technology Co., Ltd.
Technical backbones and principals from construction, railway, steel structure, ship, marine, petrochemical, public institutions and other industries all over the country participated in the training/examination, involving four conventional NDT methods of UT, MT, PT and RT, as well as four product categories of welds, forgings, castings and pipes. The training/examination was managed and organized in accordance with ISO 9712-2012 and the requirements of the certification body of the Chinese Society for Nondestructive Testing. The whole training and examination process was standardized, strict, orderly and smooth. Mr. Zhuang Zhiqiang and Mr. Wang Jizhong made the trainees master the practical operation knowledge and testing technology by means of the combination of on-site teaching, on-site testing practice and theory through Kunyuan fastener workshop materials.
He Chun, from the National Center for Quality Supervision and Inspection of Metallic Materials, Shanghai Institute of Materials, and the Nondestructive Testing Center of the Machinery Industry, led a team of teachers to supervise the examination in person. During the examination, the strict working attitude of the invigilators and their high standard requirements for candidates kept the examination place in order.
Li Kun, the general manager of the co organizer, spoke highly of the training held in Kunyuan, the efforts of the experts and teachers and the students in the examination, and promised to hold more training courses in the future. After the examination, Chen Yongcai, the executive vice general manager of Kunyuan, organized a group photo to complete the training.
